Opportunity knocks again for a couple of original Buffalo Bandits.
And both realize it may be the last chance for them to answer the door together.
Rich Kilgour, the 39-year-old captain, and John Tavares, who at 38 owns all of the significant National Lacrosse League career scoring records, have been around since the Bandits gathered for their first practice session in the fall of 1991.
Together, along with current head coach and General Manager Darris Kilgour, they won three championships in the first five years of their careers. But it’s been a dirty dozen years since the last one in 1996.
The Bandits have a chance to end that drought at 7:30 tonight in HSBC Arena when they face the Portland LumberJax in the Champion’s Cup final.
