But its sad to think what kind of career he would have if he wasnt hurt so much over the past decade, he could very well have 700-750. And it would be much better to see him as the home run king instead of bonds.

A class act who's played the game the right way from Day 1. Had Junior stayed healthy, he'd have been remembered possibly as the greatest player ever, let alone the modern era.

Watching the press conference last night I was struck by how much he has not changed over the years. He still looks like a kid.

Classy guy, respects the game. I echo the sentiment of the other posters, a shame he couldn't have stayed healthy.

Ken Griffey Jr is my favorite player in the league and he's on my favorite team. I was extrememly happy when he took a real "hometown discount" to come play for the Reds. He could have been the best EVER if not for the injuries.
