Does anyone think this will affect his performance? Are there any other instances of this in Golf to compare it to?

He'll be fine.

It shouldn't. I had the same exact surgery done. It does bother me while running for a while or doing something really physical(*waits for the jokes to start coming in from Trey and Emo) but playing golf shouldn't bother it.
Yeah, I have no idea. Luckily I've never needed surgery for broken bones or joint fatigue, so I had no clue as to what was involved.

Well Tigers doesn't seem too bad because it says they are going to repair cartilage. For me they took all of it out and drilled two holes in my knee cap to grow some scar cartilage. It sucks because sometimes I feel my knee cap go bone on bone with my knee and it's painful. I'm used to it cause I broke a few bones before and have a plate in my forearm exactly like Poz and also pulled some tendons. Pretty crazy for someone only 24 right?
Yeah it is. I've been hit by dirtbikes, crashed snowmobiles into trees at 50 mph, and had trees fall on me, but somehow I've been lucky enough to avoid anything serious/requiring surgery.

No one cares about golf for the next month now.
