Sam Bradford's first two seasons at Oklahoma are well documented. He threw for over 3,000 yards as a freshman and dominated the college football world as a sophomore, ending up with a trip to the BCS Championship game and a Heisman Trophy. Bradford could have been a first round pick after his sophomore season since he was draft eligible after redshirting in 2006.

Then 2009 happened. Bradford hurt his shoulder early in the season and it took about a quarter of the Red River Shootout for the Longhorns to send Bradford back to the sidelines. Now we have to wait and see how serious this injury really is. Even if he does not take another collegiate snap, Bradford will be an extremely accurate passer and has a good arm when it is not in a sling.

Bradford was considered by many to be the top player in this draft. But the short comeback from his injury raises a lot of questions. If he does not come back in 2009 (or comes back for another half before injuring his shoulder again), his stock will drop as NFL teams worry about his long-term health. One thing is for sure, if Bradford can stay healthy, he is the best quarterback in this class.

I still love Sam Bradford, I really do. In fact, he's really the only quarterback in this draft class I want the Bills to get, if they were to go that route. However, given his shoulder problems, you have to protect him. And I'm not so sure the Bills can do that.

Bradford had an excellent pro day today from the reports I've read. Here's a write up about it. Too bad it looks like he's going to be a Ram at #1 overall.

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford put on a show that heard many "oohs and aahs" from onlookers in a crowd that consisted of both pro personnel and fans alike.

Standing at 6'5" and weighing in at 236 pounds, Bradford looked solidly built in the upper body and stronger than he has ever looked while throwing the ball today.

Respected personality and former NFL executive, Gil Brandt, even said,

"[Bradford] put on the best quarterback workout by a draft prospect that I’ve seen since I watched a private workout Troy Aikman put on for us with the Cowboys in California."

Those are very strong words by one of the most influential people in the realm of NFL scouting. Brandt has set many scouting standards in the past, most of which are still being practiced today.

Even though 50 out of the 63 total passes that Bradford threw were scripted, his arm looked very strong and his velocity was also impressive. He was able to get the ball to all areas of the field.

Bradford also took snaps from under center and dropped back into three, five, and seven step drops, showing great footwork with all.

He did not throw a single pass that was not catchable, but again, they were mostly scripted passes.

Bradford also showcased his athletic abilities by running out of the pocket and completing passes on the run.

Again, those were all scripted.

Scripted or not, Bradford showed all in attendance that his shoulder is 100-percent and there were no signs of struggling to throw any pass.

Brandt was swooning over Bradford and could not stop saying good things about his performance on NFL.com.

"Sam Bradford just finished his workout, and let me tell you, it was near flawless," wrote Brandt, "I’m not saying he solidified his spot at the top of the draft, but he sure didn’t hurt himself. It was one of the best individual workouts I’ve seen in a long time. A real Picasso."

Also in attendance were both the Rams and Seahawks. The Rams were reportedly in awe of Bradford while he was on the field.

Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll said that Bradford "lit it up," during his workout.

Just like Brandt said, Bradford may have not solidified his position at the top of the 2010 NFL Draft, but he could do no wrong at his pro day and he still looks to be the top contender on the Rams' list for the number one overall pick on April 22.

If the news reports don't come out that the Rams have agreed to a deal with Bradford before the draft (the #1 overall pick tends to do that nowadays), I would love to see the Bills move up to 2 and get him. I'll take the shoulder risk, offensive line be damned.

Well the Rams released Bulger today, so that pretty much means Bradford is a Ram.

I've been a HUGE Bradford fan for a couple years now and am excited that he has the opportunity to turn around the Rams. I have a feeling that he will lead them back to the top like they were in 2000 and 2001. I can't wait to get some tickets (http://www.sportevents.com) to see him play in St. Louis!

Make up your mind. Do you want Clausen or Bradford in your butt?
