Right now I'm leaning either trade down or take Rogers-Cromartie with #11. Trading down and landing Malcolm Kelly is my dream scenario.

no one has an opinion on this?
I have a lot of sources; one of them told me Malcolm Kelly has the rickety knees of an octogenarian woman, and he's not much of a red-zone threat.
Thus, James Hardy. Schobel and Kelsay are weaksauce, so even a DE wouldn't have me vomiting my draft-day nachos all over the leather sofa.

If that is the case, then I'll trust the GM-by-committee to know this as well and pass on him. But for now, Kelly is the top receiver on my list.
I've been on the Derrick Harvey bandwagon for a while now. I wouldn't mind him, DRC, Sweed, Kelly if his knees check out....basically it would be very difficult for the Bills to disappoint me on draft day, even if they don't make the pick I'd make. So that's a comforting thought.

I have to say Hardy but like Ironsides said I wouldn't be opposed to taking a DE at 11. I also wouldn't mind a CB. If we took a DE or CB at 11 then I think we would have to trade back up into the first to grab Hardy. Even though most mocks have Hardy going in the second I don't see that happening. Modrak said you don't want 10 draft picks playing on your team so I don't see him trading down I see him trading up like they have been the past few years to get what they want.
I think CB/DE would be the choice. Trade back into the first just ahead of the Steelers to grab that last WR before they do.
Of course, that rumored Philly trade would be perfect.

I'm hoping to work out a trade with the Eagles since they want to move up.
At #19 I'd take Mike Jenkins CB South Florida. I'd even take him at #11 if we stay put.
Then I'd hope a guy like Hardy for Fred Davis fall to us early in round 2, and even possibly trade up in the 2nd or late first for one of them, with the abundance of picks we have.
Fill the hole at WR or CB please.

Gimme a CB.
We can grab a WR in the 2nd.
PerryTuttleWasUnderrated (04-15-2008)
We def need a substantial WR asap... We've already done a little to help out the defense in FA, so why not go the offensive route in the first round?
Do we really expect or want Josh Reed to be our #2???
I vote Malcolm Kelly (if we could get him at 11)
Mr. TBS (04-10-2008)
Kelly was my choice, but if his knees are really that bad, I think i go best CB available (McKelvin, DRC, Jenkins) then try and trade back in rd 1 for Devin Thomas or Hardy.
But if that rumored Eagles trade ever happens (Pick 11 for 19 and Lito Sheppard), I grab a WR at 19
Proud Adopted Parent of: Derek Roy, T.J. Brennan and Brian Moorman
If we trade down, Hardy.
If we stay, DRC or Harvey.
I would love the rumored trade with the eagles... we'll be able to draft one of Sweed, HArdy, or Thomas at 19...we'd get a known commodity at CB who can step in right away and contribute AND be a leader.
Taking DRC at 11 wouldn't piss me off...that size and athletic ability could be fun to watch, but depending on a rookie is always risky.
IF we pick at 11: Harvey, DRC, or Hardy would be fine.... I don't hate Sweed or Thomas, and I don't hate Merling.
In order of preference:
1. Harvey
2. DRC
2a. McKelvin
2b. Mike Jenkins
And that's it. I used to be accepting of the idea of taking a WR, but with the disappearance of Malcolm Kelly as an option, I am not liking it too much any more.
So I would have to say pick one of the four guys I listed, then trade back into the late first round for one of the top 3 WR's (Thomas/Sweed/Hardy).
