Our O was pathetic last year. Why not get the ball in the hands of our stud RB? It's not like he can't catch.

I don't know why they never split him out wide. They really should line Fast Freddie out in the slot. I really feel Fairchild was just plain lazy. No designed plays for Roscoe either.

I'd like to see some more 2 back shotgun sets with Marshawn and Freddy, Trent would love it.
I imagine he will be more involved last year... as a rookie its probably hard enough learning the basics, and blitz pickups... as he bulds on last year I'm sure he'll become more of an effective passer.

Whatever the reasons, the way they used him last year sucked.

Marshawn will have a Probowl yr this year with a FB in front of him and a more physical style offense.

How about some screen passes?

plus it will stop teams from blitzing the shit out of you
there is a learning curve in the NFL...
even for RBs...
he got better every week, then got injured...
I fully expect a huge year if he stays healthy for 16 weeks.
lightening the load with Freejax & Wright would go a long way to insuring that he'd be able to take over & dominate when needed, rather than running him into the ground every week.
week after week...
I think once Freddie got some meaningful PT and proved his worth it was hard for the staff to keep him on the bench. I expect him to get 5-10 carries a game next season or the fans will give the coaching staff an ear full.
Do you think one of the reasons why Marshawn didn't get a lot of loks was because A Train was in there instead...to pass block on third downs?
Hopefully with a talented fullback, Lynch will be freed, along with Fast Freddy, to wreak havoc in the 5-10 yrd zone.
Both of those guys were so electric last year with the ball in their hands...I can't wait to see what Schonert has planned for them!
