Fullback's role on the Bills

Hopefully we get a bad ass fullback ala Sam Gash that can tear linebackers' heads off and still catch the ball out of the backfield.

If we get a decent fullback in the draft, what will his role be on the Bills?

Keep in mind T. Edward's fondness of the dump off (although I think if we get a number 2 WO, he'll chuck it around a bit more).

I'll take Sam Gash over Larry Centers any day. Larry Centers was unreal out of the backfield, but I'd rather have a bad ass blocker to open up the running game.

We wouldn't have to keep an extra tight end for blocking purposes to stay back during a pass play.

eh owen schmitt bleh please you can find guys like him i the draft, though I'd really have a boner over a fullback like him and would be pretty happy with schmitt if we were to land him, but leRon mcclain went in the 5th last year. no one targets fullbacks high, well the bengals did, but, generally speaking a 4th on schmitt or 5th on one of the 8 fullbacks just like him.

thre are more than two choice here which makes this such an eh position for me. I love hillis and think he's a great player but he's not a bruiser sam gash crusher destroyer type that I think Dr needs

Joe Surratt, Florida State. The kid is an insane goal line back and he makes pretty good blocks. 6'1 255.

Willie Rose, Florida Atlantic. I saw him play live vs USF and a few times on TV. He's a phenomenon...the white Beesh Mo'. He CAN NOT be tackled...and remember...he was doing this behind FAU's O-Line. He averaged a 5.3 YPC. and he's a fullback for F-A-friggin U.

Schmitt is pretty much the Gash-type fullback the Bills desperately need. Hillis is very good, but he's more in the Larry Centers mold, which this offense doesn't want.
