He'll probably be there, and we should definately take him. Not very big, not very fast, but has just made plays his entire career.
Will probably never start, but would be a great backup/ST'er and you never know where they next Zach Thomas is gonna come from.
I remember J Leman from when he played against PSU last fall. He was all over the field for that game. He picked off Morelli once (not that it's particularly hard to do), and I believe he recovered Morelli's fumble on our final drive (again, Morelli fumbled at least twice a game, so join the club).
But yeah, Leman's got potential, he should go higher than the 7th round. He's got a big pedigree to live up to though (Butkus).

I haven't seen him projected very high. Ran a 4.90. Everywhere I've looked has him as a late rounder/FA... I can't find him in the top 10 ILB in many rankings... and his surgery in the offseason definately didn't help.

I tend to think teams will overlook his lack of speed, and see that he is one of those polayers that plays incfredibly fast in game film and undersized? 6-1 3/4ths 245 is undersized?
Speed doesn't matter for an ILB. Intensity and getting to the ball/ballcarrier are the main skills an ILB should possess. And J Leman has been all over both of those things. He led the Big Ten in tackles his senior year, and the Big Ten is arguably the best conference for LB's (Butkus, Jack Ham, Lavar Arrington, Linebacker U., etc.).

I love him, and we do pick ahead of ne int he 4th, and despite what you say, depending an how he gets off blocks, he absolutely is starter material, not 3 down ilb type like a poz, but certainly a 1st and second down guy.
people talk about the greatness of little animal, I dont' think animal has nearly the instincts that J leman, christian virgin conservative has.
