I am a Springsteen fan, so I thought is was really good despite some super lame moments (i.e., the fake ref coming out). Your thoughts?

Nothing against Springsteen but I hate all this shit the NFL does. I fell asleep during the halftime show and almost missed the rest of the game (thank god my son woke me up). I'm tired of tv time outs, bullshit advertising, long ass halftime shows, new rules add every year to make the game a flag fest and long ass challenge reviews. The NFL is all about the money now and not about the game.

I agree with that, Joe. The league's far too commercialized now; it's become embarrassing.
And the officiating last night was a travesty.

I thought it sucked to be honest. I don't know.
That halftime show was brutal. You're not 30 anymore Bruce, stop acting like it.
The best thing about it was the shot of Max Wineberg.
I fucking hated it.
- He told me to put down my guacamole dip and chicken fingers (it's wings you idiot)
- "Tenth ave Freeze Out" is not a rock anthem song.
- He ran around the stage and slid into camera.
- He ran around so much that he couldn't hit the chorus or high screams in "Born to Run"
- He changed the lyrics to one of his best songs "Glory Days" - just so he could look better in a football audience = lame and sellout.
- He embarrassed and reduced one of the greatest rock saxophone players to a peon by making him play a cowbell. Really Bruce a fucking cowbell?
- The jibber jabber of playful banter between the Boss and Stevie made me crawl under my coffee table.
- Anytime anyone refers to themselves in the third person...it's an instant fail.

It is and that's why I applaud hockey for giving us non stop action. Sure the intermissions are long but at least u don't have a team sitting in a huddle waiting for a commercial to end. Shit at least copy soccer and throw computer enhanced images in the background during changes of possession and such. Not only do they show more commercials than game time but when they get back to the game the sports casters then have to promo the shows that are on later that night after the game. Thank god for the redzone channel on directv or I would never watch any games but Bills ones. When I was at the Bills/Cards game I actually had a long time to get Hardy's attention on the field with my sign while he was waiting in the huddle with his hands on his hips waiting for a commercial to end. It's fucking ridiculous, just play the fucking game.

WORST HALFTIME SHOW EVER. Just horrible. I kept wanting him to have a heart attack and die on stage. Even the Spice Girls would have been better than that halftime show.

I'm not a Springsteen fan, but that half time show was good.
The last thing football needs to do is copy soccer, where no action occurs, period.
I thought he was trying to be a pro wrestler at first, the way he was screaming commands into the mic. It was very WWF.
I've never been a Bruce Springsteen fan. His music has always been very boring to me. Very blah.
Little Steven has always annoyed the ever-loving shit outta me. Especially in the "Glory Days" music video. I want to punch him in the face. Definitely more than once.
The best thing I can say for him is that he truely loves performing and he truely gives it his all every time he's on the stage. His energy is excellent and I will always appreciate musicians that ooze incredible energy with every performance.
LOL, even I have to agree with every single one of those points. Well put.
One more bone of contention: WTF was the point of the gospel choir? I'm sick of gospel choirs; they're rarely necessary, and they definitely weren't the other night.
Nevertheless, I still liked it.

Gotta love the crotch slam.
I thought it was pretty good, bruce still makes great albums, his band can play, was it gimmicky sure, but come on its the nfl better than having some of these lame bands today. Plus they have to reach more people, and he's been around since forever.
Petty was good, Paul Mccartney was meh, the last truly memorable half time show ( besides the wardrobe malfunction ) was U2.

Best part was when they showed the big titted girl in the crowd.
