Players to consider at 20
Brock Nelson (center) 6'3 205 Warroad High
Has great acceleration for a player of his stature. Nelson does not have any glaring weaknesses as he plays well in all three zones. Has a cannon of a shot that he can release with ease, is a player that is shoot first and pass second. Has showed major improvement over the course of his high school career, so there is no telling where his progression will stop. Nelson is one of the best players in the state in the faceoff circle.
Tyler Pitlick (center) 6'1 195 Minnesota State U
Pitlick’s forte is playing a gritty game, going into the corners and winning one-on-one battles. Uses his big frame and wide base to protect the puck, has good hands and quality shot. Good skater, not blazing fast but has great balance. Does not have any skills that will knock you out of your seat, but he is a reliable player that will be a solid contributor in the NHL
