Kaleta, in my opinion, is much more important to this team than Kennedy. Definitely worth more.

Darcy Regier

Talking about what would be a solid contribution from Kennedy, Regier said anywhere from 35 to 45 points for the forward would be a great year for him.

In a broader discussion, Regier was asked about the state of the roster and if the team had anything else lined up.

"Well we're still looking at discussion with other teams and players that are out there," said Regier. "Right now I think we're fairly close to being set. There may be one or two things that maybe if we can do it we will but right now we'll start gearing up for training camp."

You think this is too much? What comparable players make/made less at the same point in their careers?

It's not so much that I think it's too much (although I think I agree, Kennedy getting more than Kaleta is a bit baffling), but looking at how MacArthur made out like a bandit (sort of, Atlanta did walk away), either MacArthur slept with the arbitrator, or his agent did, or maybe it was even a threesome. I don't mind the ruling, but it's not really consistent with the way arbitrators are doing things in the past. I expected him to get about a half million more.
