I assume they have some good restaurants in Vancouver. Fat fuck...

Well if Torres is worth 1 million, I guess Kennedy has a point..........
Ha ha ha, what a losser. That guy fucking sucks. Nice trade, Dacry.
Darcy acquired damaged goods. The guy had 19 goals before he came here, which at the the time of the trade, made him second or third on the team in goals. He obviously got hurt right before or right after the trade, which is why I'm assuming he got the $1 million.
I'm not even sure what was so terrible about Torres' play while he was here aside from not scoring a goal. He played half a period on a scoring line before being demoted to the bottom 6 for the rest of his Sabres career, he was arguably our most physical forward, aside from Kaleta, during his stint. He stuck up for his teammates, he won battles down low, he had a few excellent hits.
He even had 2 points in 4 playoff games. Which is more anyone can say for Roy (2 in 6), Connolly (1 in 6), Stafford (0 in 3) and Gaustad (1 in 6).

The Toughster (08-25-2010)
Either the "system" that Ruff had in place was too complicated because Torres wasn't used to being responsible or he was too dumb to get it.
We will never know.
No one cares about Torres.
Which one?
"Hopefully, I can come in here and help out, pitching in along the way and try to liven it up around here.""I'll just try to go out there and be physical and get some goals if I can," he said. "I don't want to disrupt the room. I want to be a good asset to the room.""I'm coming to a team that knows how to win here," Torres said Thursday, a day after being traded to the Sabres. "That's just it, I think these guys are professional enough, smart enough to know that they can win in this room."http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hocke...16690488_x.htm"Coming to Buffalo is going to cost me five grand," Torres said, with a smile, referring to how much he's spent on tickets on family and friends for the game Friday. "No, it's good."

Recchi taught him a lesson (which was probably the defining moment of the series, right next to Vanek's near amputation with zero retaliation from his team), and the next game, Kennedy scored a big goal. He played with more purpose than most of the roster. If someone had to be sent to free agency, Kennedy would have been pretty far down on my list.
Regier's previous financial mishaps had as much to do with Kennedy being bought out as the arbitrators poor ruling did. But even with all of that said, this team won't miss a beat without him.

Torres has a job, kennedy doesnt.
and as for torres i wont make fun of him, yes he sucked here, but as we were mentioning players coming here, he was the guy if not top 3 forward most of us wanted here. just didnt work out.

Yea...that interview turned me off a bit.
It was just amazing that we didn't use him. Was he injured? Or did Lindy just hate his guts?
Hopefully the Sabres don't bother with the trade deadline anymore (unless they're in position to dump expiring contracts for picks/prospects). It's an overrated waste of time.
