The No. 1 thing I learned during the 2008 playoffs' inaugural evening: Brian Campbell is still the guy we came to know as a Sabre. He's not the elite all-around defenseman the media have made him into, evidenced by the shellacking Iginla laid on Soup en route to Calgary's third goal. Very good player? Yes. Superstar worthy of $6 million-plus? No.

I was watching him surrender a 2 on 1 in the 3rd talking to my wife, and I laughed and explained the travesty of brain, whoever pays him 6+ should get prison raped

I was really impressed by Pittsburgh, granted ottawa is down two very significant players, with allfy and fisher, but man gerber had a good game and they still lost 4-0. And yeah campbell looked very campbell tonight.

Murray can schschhcshove it.
I can't wait until tomorrow night 3 games for me
hopefully bos-mon is on vs. I haven't had a chance to see price moret han once this year, and det-nash is on locally and whatever the night game is, I can at least say this, thank you sabres for reminding me how awesome playoff hockey is, even if you fagbaskets decided not to make it. You chose a great year
Should be interesting to see how the ducks will play tomorrow, repeating is hard.

Toughster has no clue about the Pens.
If you'd have told me back in October, when the Senators were 13-1-0, that Cody Bass and Brian Lee, not Daniel Alfredsson and Mike Fisher, would be in their opening-night playoff lineup, I'd have said no way.
That team is a total train wreck.
I really love seeing the sharks lose, usually i root for ex-sabres but i actually want to see campbell fail.

My playoff team is the lowest seeded team that advances.
Brain McCampbellCabe.
That's the path he's headed down.
The Rangers are going to be tough to stop.
I guess not. Since the Pens played a nearly perfect game and the Sens played one of the worst games ever, I'm sure the Pens will waltz on to a 4 game victory. Winning the first game does guarantee a series victory after all.
He isn't nearly as physical, and McCabe is barely physical at all. Campbell also has never caught a whisper of 20 goals, and never will. Campbell is like Rafalski without a brain. He sucks, and good riddance.
There's a shocking assessment.
Campbell's flaws were exposed last night, but I don't care whether he wins or not. I'm not rooting for him or against him. The Sharks brought him in for offense from the back end, and he's giving it to them. He's doing what they are asking of him. I still don't see the big deal.
