Jochen Hecht declined to play for Germany. Hecht will have surgery performed on his left wrist. Hecht says that he's been playing injured since January. Kotalik will play for the Czech Republic.
Thomas Vanek will play in Pool 'B' for Austria.
Henrik Tallinder said "No" to Sweden. Tallinder has hasn't had a chance to properly train for 2 off seasons and wants to go into next year prepared. Numminen (Finland) and Max Afinogenov (Russia) have not yet decided if they'll play in the tournament.
