I'd let AQ grade my road any day
Officer Joseph J Whitestick (02-21-2009)
I think we have the best interior offensive linemen in the country. Ohrnberger, Shipley and Wiz are mean as hell and good.
http://gopsusports.cstv.com/sports/m...pley_aq00.htmlRespect. A.Q. Shipley has earned it from all corners for his superb play at center the past two years. A starter in the past 26 games, Shipley anchors an offensive line that made great strides as the 2007 season progressed, becoming one of the squad's most consistently productive units. He was recognized by the conference coaches with his selection as the 2007 first-team All-Big Ten center. Shipley is a candidate for the Rimington Award for the second consecutive year and also is on the Watch List for the Rotary Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy. Phil Steele's 2008 College Football lists him as the No. 7 center in the nation entering the season and a first-team all-conference pick. But, of all the recognitions he has received, the one that means the most was being elected an offensive co-captain by his teammates for the 2008 campaign. The former Moon Area HS standout is the first offensive lineman to be elected a captain since Matt Schmitt in 2002. And he's the first center to be named a captain since Barry Tielsch in 1996. A hard-working leader for the offense, Shipley has used his skills, tenacity and competitive nature to become one of the top offensive linemen in the Big Ten. He is an intense and physical presence on the line. Shipley and the offensive line, which returns intact, gained further recognition after leading the way for a season-high 270 rushing yards in the Valero Alamo Bowl win over Texas A&M. He was selected to the 2007 ESPN.com All-Bowl team, joining teammate and fellow Pittsburgher Sean Lee on the prestigious squad. A former defensive tackle, Shipley has one of the squad's most engaging personalities and played a jovial Santa Claus at the team's bowl game Christmas party during the 2005 and `06 seasons. An accomplished golfer, he is one of 10 returning Nittany Lions from western Pennsylvania. Shipley is on schedule to graduate in December...........
I think he did well tonight, he held his own against a very good USC defensive line, and linebackers. I'm guessing he goes somewhere on day 2, probably the 5th round I'd say.
I thought Landolt was the only one that had a difficult day. The line played pretty well. The offensive line, anyway.
Bench 225 33 times, top performance by any OLman today.

Just seen Faces post for the first time right now.Face

Sweet. Way to go AQ!!
AQ can lift a ton:

(just kidding, I know it's only valid for 10 or less reps).
the shame with boone is that athletically he is as good as any lineman there is in this draft, his head is just not there. If he gets his head right he's going to be a solid nfler. That being said, I'd take a flyer on him in the 4th round
AQ isn't, but he's an underrated athletes (HS basketball center) and he just knows how to play (Rimington, All American).
