I think this could be a funny thread to revisit in some time. For this year, list the prospects you think will be busts.
Just from watching DEs, I think that Michael Johnson and Brian Orakpo will bust. I'll add more players as I watch the various bowls and the combine coverage.
i dont' think johnson will do much as a rookie but as he learns how to become a pass rusher he could be really really good

Wells is a pussy. Hes really really good... but I'm glad he;s leaving. If I have to watch him tap his head and take himself out of the game for the 10th time in a game again I'm gonna throw up

in well's case I'm defining bust by games played versus games missed due to injury. he can't stay healthy and a team is going to pick him top 10 and he will miss a lot of time. I dont' think he's going to be worth the spot picked. To be perfectly honest Id take him 3rd behind knowshon and greene, possibly even mccoy.

I think Ohio State really misses Chris Wells next year. You noticed a dramatic dropoff when he wasn't in this year.
I think Spikes could be a bust. He was invisible tonite.
peterson didn't have a career filled with nagging injuries. Wells hasn't made it through a season yet without them. There is always something wrong with him something dinged up here dinged up there.
Peterson had a couple freak injuries nothing like wells list. also wells runnign style does not lend itself to him staying healthy.
As for osu missing him next year. I think it is a mixed bag. My hope is that they take the opportunity with him leaving to adopt a more texas spread styled offense, that takes more advantage of pryor's running ability. With posey and thomas seeing mroe time I thik the wr corps will actually improve. Shugarts, brewster, adams and boren should really bolster what was the real deficiency for the bucks, the o-line. Wells is nto a spread read option attack running back but i think saine might actually be a better firt for what I'm hoping they do which is steal texas 06 offense with VY and really incorporate that heavily into what they do on offense. If they try to runt he same offense without wells there could certainly be an issue, though boom herron did average over 5 yards a carry and I believe they have two good rb's coming in this recruiting class. Berry and hyde are called thunder and lightning, more lightning and thunder. But you have a speedster in berry and a huge power back in hyde.
I'm mroe excited for this year coming up than I was for last year. I do think they have the players to win a national championship while pryor is here it's just a matter of the coaches putting the players in a position to do so.
Pryor is fucking awful.
he's a true freshman qb, I think he was pretty good this season and should get better.
His bowl game wasn't very impressive but completeing 60% of your passes 12 tds 4 picks, running for 631 yards and 6 more tds tends to make me think you are totally wrong. even in his bowl game he showed som flashes of what makes hima special player then he would run out of bounds short of the first down. But those are freshman mistakes.
I'm excited to see what he can do with a better line and hopefully better pocket awareness.
Herron's better than Wells, I will agree with that.
The tailback in the Army AA game looked pretty decent too.
You benefit from U$C in the Shoe, but you also travel to Happy Valley.
I absolutely disagree with this.
He's a douche in a lot of ways, but he's more of a threat to run than any QB I've seen, except for maybe Vick Sr.. Yeah, I think he's better than White or Young.
He does have arm strength, even though he gets criticized for rainbows. That will improve with coaching.
How can you get upset over a QB who doesn't make mistakes and is still learning?
I don't think he (or Boeckmann, who was thrown under the bus) was utilized very well by Tressel.
OSU's offense was garbage. I just don't see Pryor being this amazing QB that everyone is drooling over. Maybe the problem was more Tressel than Pryor though.
I'm not overly concerned with going to psu. Usc presents a much stiffer challenge to osu.
