Smith stock is dropping but it has zero to do with his talent. He was dominant in every game I saw him in and he is an absolute road grader. Much like Jake Long, he has a little trouble with speed rushers from time to time and he wants you to bull rush him, because once he gets his hands on you its pretty much over. He's got good feet with a smooth kick slide and excellent hand punch
In the run game he is a pile mover who gets a push and can get surprising low for a guy his size to win the leverage battle. He also gets to the second level and knows how to execute blocks in space by hitting a moving target
I mean just in terms of pure talent we are talking about a top 3 elite level Tackle. Now you add in the dumb ass factor and all of a sudden he's almost a lock to drop out of the top 5 and maybe the top 10(Just the fact that his agent let him visit Buffalo tells you that at least they think theirs a chance he'll still be on the board). He clearly has shown a work ethic problem with the fact that he wasn't ready for the biggest job interview of his life and then while his pro day was decent you could tell he hadn't been going balls to the wall. Add in the crap load of Money you are going to give him, which almost never helps from a motivational standpoint, and you have to really to think long and hard if your going to invest in him
