Obviously to get back in some members good graces, RRoDdr will have to explain the situation. I had a pleasant experience in dealing with him, but customer service is everything nowadays and promises are promises - no matter how difficult to guarantee.
For now, we'll look at the services that RRoDdr provides as an alternative to sending it into microsoft and we caution to use his service at your own risk.

I apoplogize to the few members I have disappointed. I will still stand behind what I have stated that I will gladly re-repair the sytem. My schedule has been a little hectic since my son was born and now that I am working between 8-11 hours a day(and its about an hour eachway to work by bus from north tonawanda to downtown buffalo) and still trying to find some time to spend with my kids. My availability is mainly on the weekends, I now work for a Video game store performing xbox360 and other console repairs. I barely even get a chance to get on the computer I would have reponded to this alot quicker if I had known. Bobby 716 533 1579

E-71 is a bad dashboard update I just recently found out a week ago on an xbox that I fixed its occasionally not fixable I would gladly take a look at if you still have the xbox. Bobby 716 533 1579

RRODDR has attempted a new fix, and had it in an hour...effort made and appreciated, sir!
My HDMI port just stopped working one day. Do you have any experience repairing that issue? Or is that a motherboard replacement kind of problem?

Anybody have one of those network adapters for the olderthey wanna sell (cheap) ? They're like $99 and I'm....cheap. Free would be nice as well
I believe the new XBOX's come with them already built inside so I'm thinking one of you chaps has an older style
I've looked on craigslist and they go in the 75 dollar range - used. It's fucking criminal. I bought my xbox and they came out with the slim like a month later. fucking sharks. I am now debating picking up a slim so i can have vids upstairs and downstairs.Anybody have one of those network adapters for the older

55 plus shipping is the best I could find. Gamestop has them for 45 online used, but they are unavailable online. I suppose you could call one of their stores? I dont have an Xbox 360. I'm a Ps3 guy. Ill keep looking and pm ya if I find anything cheaper.

Took my xbox to the RROD DR on Friday night, and in just 40 mins he had the red ring of death (E-74 error) fixed for me for only $30! Great service and it works fine now. Totally recommend him if you guys have any issues or want any mods done to your electronics!!

And now I'm running into almost the exact same problems with this guy as I took my xbox to him for the 2nd time in 2 months on Friday.
Said I needed it back by Tuesday. He said fine, and he'd probably even do it that night ( i didn't have the time to sit around though with a 40 min drive home) I said cool see you Tuesday. Today I call him he says that he's at work until 6 or 7 and it's still not done either. I said well ok, I need it back like i said.
I head out that way around 7 and call him, he says he's not home and has no idea when he will be home tonight. I finally left the area after 2 hours and a wasted 40 min drive. I asked him to keep me updated on when he'd be back and I heard nothing and called him 3 times with no answer.
At this point I just want my xbox and money back. I gave him $20 (he said it'd be $15 for the fix but didn't have the change that day)
Hoping I get a good explanation...
