God, you've completely divorced yourself from reality. Stafford barely even played in the 3rd. I never bought the notion that you don't watch the games, but now I'm really starting to wonder.
The way he plays, who would know whether he was benched or not? Do you have a link to a shift chart? Who was he playing those 7:50 with? I know he started on the 4th line.

Since when? Stafford has only played 34 games in the AHL, i think maybe the least amount of any player on the roster aside from Connolly and the foreigners. He stepped into the roster on a scoring line, and has pretty much played the last two years previous with Roy and Vanek. Have you always known he was a bum?

Whether or not he is, you're still deranged. He was benched and you made a thread acting like he was rewarded with bountiful ice time. You've eviscerated any remaining strands of credibility you may have had.
Any question as to whether he was injured rather than benched can be put to rest. From today's Buffalo News:
Right wing Drew Stafford was benched for all but one shift of the third period. He was on the ice for Ottawa's two second-period goals. Stafford had just 7:50 of ice time, including 22 seconds in the third.
"He struggled. That's the bottom line," Ruff said. "He was on for a couple goals, and the last couple games he just wasn't getting a lot done."
Confirming what most of us already knew.
