but here is my question? what do we do with BP or the oil industry all together, i think BP should get a hefty fine, i'm talking billions, and honestly the price of gas has gone down what like 20 cents since this thing has started? oil industry needs to be called out.

Any fine on BP will go into the price of their gas. Good thing there aren't any BP stations here. The ineptitude of this whole situation is ridiculous, from the desk of the President to the entire corporation. I'm starting to read that people are calling this Obama's Katrina. But this is oh so much worse than that. Obviously lives aren't being lost, but this is the biggest environmental disaster in the history of this nation. And I hated Bush, I'm biased against anything that he ever did, and yet I still feel what's happening today is worse.
can you really blame obama for it though? it has to be BP for not being prepared for a situation like this.

I am just amazed that they are allowed to dig at depths that they can't reach. That would have been my first measuring stick if I were the EPA. You can only dig at depths where you can effectively manage an incident.
I thought that would have been line one. For them to have been allowed to dig in places where they can't physically go down and deal - is retarded.

The declining energy prices indicate lesser dependence on energy.
They absolutely gutted the EPA. And the Clean Air Act (instituted by that noted left wing lunatic, Richard Nixon.) The particularly disgusting thing is they used Hurricane Katrina as an excuse to gut the Clean Air Act.
It may sound barbaric, but I think some public hangings might really help our Democracy.

I was listening to Riter on the way home from work and he had some dude on who referenced the below clip regarding a well in much less water (roughly 200ft) that they couldn't cap 31 years ago. Kind of nuts how you can drill off shore and not have the resources to prevent future damage in the event of a disaster.
The dude also went on to mention that the Russian run into problems like this all the time drilling in the Arctic Sea and they drop small nukes on them to close them. Problem is you can never use the oil again.

Hear me out... What if we jammed it full of millions of those little dinosaurs that expand when they get wet? Just keep them dry until they get down there then fire them in and plug it up. Once they reach full Dino-size it will be fixed.
And for good measure only use T-rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and pterydactyls. None of that pussy brontosaurus, diplodoclus, or Hadrosaurus bullshit.
