I'm not trying to back pedal but you're making it out like israel is the only country that does this sort of thing. Iran is notorious for going after civilians and other ethnic groups all the time. I mean homosexuality is illegal in iran and punishable by death or flogging even. (http://www.cbc.ca/arts/film/story/20...ex-change.html) and I doubt that only happens once in a while.
