and fuck all the American apologists who are trying to excuse their murdering 10 civilians on an aid ship in cold blood. Disgusting. Almost as shameful is the fact that we're pretty much the only country in the free world who hasn't condemned their actions.

Fuck everyone over there.

It's a bunch of fundies fighting each other over a shitty piece of land because its the supposed "holy land" of an invisible cloud man.

Even if Palestine got all of Israel back, a bunch of Islamic fundies would be calling the shots instead of a bunch of Jewish fundies.

Either way, that whole region is fucked.

Let the fundies kill each other to the last man, for all I care.

Then let reasonable atheists inherit the world.

Yeah, I saw that one.

Parker & Stone are right that there will always be dumb shit to fight about.

But virtually every armed conflict in the world currently involves one or more religious factions. The only exception may be warring drug lords in South America.

Religion is an easy rallying point for people to group up and do stupid shit on a massive level.

I agree to a point. Religion is often used to rouse the rabble into killing each other. But the underlying cause of nearly every war I can think of is money. Money is why the powerful start wars, and religion is often why the poor fight in them.

Mauvis pretty much nailed it right there. The rich and powerful are often very good at deceiving devout followers of almost any religion, be it Catholic, other Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or whatever into thinking that they are truly on their side, when it's not their primary motivation. In fact, it's not really a motivation at all. It's to try and get manpower. It's politics in its truest form.

Well we need solid allies in the middle east for a few reason, a major one would be, yup you guessed it oil. As well as a strategic place to put bases and ports in case some major shit goes down from Iran. murder is murder...car bombs are almost a daily event in iran/iraq, etc...

doesnt matter how u go about it, civilians are killed either way.

There are a lot of distinctions between domestic murder and acts of war against foreign citizens in international waters.

I also think you're exaggerating the amount of car bombings that occur in Iran.

I'm not trying to pick on you, but this kind of exaggeration is prevalent in American media/discourse. Especially when it comes to the Middle East. Things are portrayed in very black and white/ good and evil terms. Hamas and Iran = bad, evil, terrorist and Israel = good, just, American ally. The reality is much murkier.
