Ever get some stupid forwarded e-mail (with about 50 people included on it) about some sort of skeptical-sounding bullshit like Target doesn't support Veterans or Aspartame is bad for you ? I'm sure some of you have heard of snopes.com .... those of you who haven't should go to this site whenever you get one of these e-mails, or hear something weird on the news or on the radio. Snopes debunks all the urban legends and things like that.
There's this woman in the office that likes to send me these kinds of e-mails (and she sends these out to like 30 people at a time...she must have some sort of saved e-mail contact list). And I'll hit "reply to all" and embarrass her by putting a link from snopes in my reply.....good times, good times...
So, whenever you get a weird email that seems skeptical, go to :
